| The International Foundation for Child/Woman, initiated in January, 2006 in Uttara – Dhaka, Bangladesh. |  | | The Janina Gora Foundation is an International voluntary organization that supports children and women in poverty stricken Bangladesh. It was founded in January, 2006 by Jolanta Dorota Gora (now living in NYC, USA) and M M Rahman Maqsood (now living in Dhaka, Bangladesh). JGF is a small nongovernmental, nonprofit, charitable organization created to fight hunger and poverty in Bangladesh. We are empowering local communities by helping to raise the levels of education and literacy of impoverished children and women. In March 2007, JFG members and volunteers began charitable activities helping to distribute fresh drinking water and food to children and woman in the poorest areas of Dhaka (see recent activities our photo gallery). | | | We are currently in the process of constructing the building for school (see the recent developments - photo gallery), which will accommodate 40 students, we are also aiming to reach up to 100 of unfortunate boys and girls and provide necessary: | | | | - Basic education - School supplies - Daily nutrient food supply - Medical assistance - Emotional support | | | | We are also planning to create a training center for women in order to help them to get proper skills to survive their difficult lives. We will teach, instruct and assist them with; | | | | - Sewing - Arts and crafts - Daily nutrient food supply - Medical assistance - Emotional support - And all other necessary support to aid their independence | | | | We are passionately committed to foster educational, cultural, social, and economic relations between the United States and Bangladesh in order to make a difference. | | |  | | |  | | | |
